Digital Multimeters

A multimeter is an electrical measurement device used to measure voltage, current, and resistance in an electrical circuit. Digital multimeters read the signal of the physical quantity being measured over either a preselected range, or within a range set by an autorange function. The analog signal read by the meter is passed through a series of electrical components to precondition the signal before putting it through an analog to digital converter. The output value is reported on an LCD or LED screen.
