For small capacity boiler user group like garment makers, health clubs, hotels, laundry, laboratories, etc, the choice was either to buy a standard fuel fired boiler of minimum 100 kg capacity demanding lot of maintenance or use electrically operated steam boiler for their steam need thereby paying huge electric bills and thus reducing profitability. Hi-Therm Boiler Engineers has developed a mini gas boiler, a first in India, which generates steam instantly with capacity of 30 kg/hr. MINI is fully automatic in operation and does not need any operator. The salient features include: non IBR design, low water burner cut-off, automatic intake of water as an when required, high pressure steam cut off, etc. MINI can be operated on any gaseous fuel like LPG, natural gas and allied fuels. This works on a single-phase electric connection, instead of energy guzzling 3-phase power requirement of regular boilers. MINI looks like a fridge and consumes a very little floor space of 2 x 2 ft. It works smoothly and noiselessly, and can hence be kept close to the utility. The gas burner fitted is very simple with automatic ignition, fuel control system and the flame supervisor takes care for its safety operation. MINI is highly efficient and No maintenance/inventory is required. Applications include garments – steam ironing, health clubs – steam bath, hotels – steam cooking, bathing, laundry – washing, laboratories – testing purpose and many more industries where steam requirement is low.
