BEI Stainless Steel Encoders Resist Chemical Attack
Goleta – BEI’s industry standard H25 and H20 incremental rotary encoders are now available with a stainless steel housing option. Harsh industrial applications often expose plant equipment to caustic chemical materials, resulting in premature deterioration and failure. Now you can prevent costly equipment downtime and replacement by ordering your BEI encoders with a 304 series stainless steel encoder body and bearing housing. This provides exceptional resistance to the corrosive agents often found in wash-down and chemical environments. This option is ideal for use in chemical, petrochemical, food, and medical industries.
The H25 is the flagship of the BEI Industrial Encoder Division product line. It offers features such as EMI shielding, 40 lb. dual, preloaded ABEC 7 bearings, matched thermal coefficients on critical components, and custom high-efficiency optics. The H20 is a compact encoder that features heavy-duty bearings, shock resistant disc and conforms to NEMA 4 and 13 requirements.
BEI Industrial Encoder Division (IED) is an operation of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST). IED manufactures optical encoders and associated electronics for the industrial market. BEI is the market-leading brand of encoders in North America. CST is a division of Schneider Electric. CST was formed from the combination of BEI Technologies, Kavlico and Crouzet. CST provides sensors, controls and actuation products to the industrial, transportation and military/aerospace markets.
