Keeping at the forefront of safety, MSA has launched a new fixed gas transmitter. Designed to be used in the detection of a wide range of combustible and toxic gasses, or even in oxygen applications, the new PrimaX gas transmitter is the leading choice for indoor and outdoor gas detection, offering proven MSA quality and reliability. The PrimaX is capable of detecting up to 22 gasses.  

With plug-in replacement sensors, and an integrated backplate for fast and easy installation, the PrimaX range of gas transmitters is cost effective and easy to use. Featuring innovative custom enclosures, with integrated keypad and large LCD with plain clear text, the PrimaX also offers the option of HART (highway addressable remote transducer) digital protocol.  

The PrimaX is available in flameproof (PrimaX P) and the intrinsically safe (PrimaX I) versions, and is ATEX, IECEx, UL and CSA approved. It also has IP66 ingress protection, as well as SIL 2 approval from TUV. The PrimaX P can be either three or four wire, while the PrimaX I is only two wire. The PrimaX P also comes with the option for alarm and fault relays, and includes three status LEDs.  Warnings generated by the built-in diagnostics are also displayed. The PrimaX full-scale range of up to 22 gasses and the span calibration points can be adjusted to suit individual requirements and applications.
