MSA Africa has launched an innovative range of electronic hearing protection, SORDIN left/RIGHT CutOff Pro and SORDIN Supreme Pro, which features a level-dependent function. These products assist in the amplification of sound under 19dB, while reducing sound higher than 82dB, through the two external microphones and state-of-the-art electronic system. Both devices also have an AUX input for connecting to external audio sources. “It is important not to risk damaging your hearing; however, it is equally vital not to miss important sounds and communications due to over protection,” says Loren Pearson, Senior Product Manager Head-, Eye-, Face- and Hearing Protection, MSA Africa. 

  

The ear muffs are ergonomically designed to fit a wider range of face shapes in order to provide the wearer with total comfort and optimal hearing protection. The independently shaped, anatomical design for the left - and right ear cups also provide a superior fit to the head. “We have gone against the traditional concept that our ears are positioned in the middle of our head. As a result, we have created a muff large enough to fit all types of ears, regardless of size,” notes Pearson.  

The SORDIN left/RIGHT CutOff Pro features 360° hearing capability and can be worn with a headband, or helmet mounted. This makes it ideal for use in high noise environments, like construction, rail- and road maintenance, printing factories, shooting ranges, shipyards and high impulse noise environments (e.g.steelworks), where the wearer needs to be able to communicate face-to-face.  

Designed specifically for hunting, shooting and law enforcement activities, the SORDIN Supreme Pro is shaped to suit both right—and left-handed shooters, is foldable for convenient storage and comes with a waterproof battery compartment for extra protection against water damage. ASIC technology provides a natural sound reproduction that can amplify ambient sounds up to four times, allowing the wearer to hear his/her natural environment, without being subjected to the harmful noises in these situations.
