Sunbird Solar is located in Cape Town, South Africa. I import solar goods and am specialising in the development and marketing of my own design of domestic off-grid solar light and power kit, for use in offgrid or disadvantaged communities in Southern Africa or by the outward-bound, outdoor, and travel sectors.
This is the iKwezi Star of Africa solar light and power kit, available in two models: 12V-5V and 24V-5V. The 24V model is designed for charging laptop computers. Both models have sockets for powering up to four LED lamps on extension cables (two lamps with cables are provided) and another LED lamp fixed into the case to serve as a portable lantern. (Webbing shoulder strap, and a rain cover.) Both models have a secondary step-down regulator for a 5V USB socket and octopus for recharging of cell phones and similar equipment.
The products include a 10W solar panel and all cables.
