Company Description
Southern Engineering Company Ltd (SECO), An ISO Certified Company established in 1957, offers a range of marine, civil, and offshore engineering services, as well as shipbuilding and ship repair services in projects throughout East Africa.
SECO’s facilities include a fully-equipped shipyard covering an area of 52, 246 square meters (over three acres) which is strategically located at the entrance to the port of Mombasa, a 160 meter jetty with a draft of 7.5 meter as well as two modern floating docks with a combined lifting capacity of 1200 metric tons.
In addition, SECO’s facilities include a 2200 square meter workshop floor space facilitating fabrication, mechanical, carpentry, electrical and electronic workshops with modern equipment. The infrastructure is harmonized by a dedicated team of 600 qualified and experienced personnel including Management, Naval Architects, Engineers, Tradesmen and Support Staff.
