Shield Engineering began in the late 1980s as a predominantly petroleum based environmental consulting firm. Shield expanded and grew its environmental practice and, in 2000, acquired Geo-Envrironmental Consultants, a geotechnical engineering firm. This acquisition doubled the size of both firms and provided the platform for service line expansion and geographic growth.
Our approach is straightforward. We provide quality, technically competent services in a cost-effective and common sense manner.
Shield's professional staff is comprised of highly skilled and experienced engineers, geologists, environmental scientists and other technical professionals. In fact, over 90% of our technical staff have more than 5 years of experience. Most are registered in their fields of technical expertise.
