We believe that a good safety culture in any work environment begins with safety awareness. Safety awareness followed by proper safety practices and behaviour leads to good habits which in form results in a good safety culture. A good safety culture at work transcends to all aspects of one’s life-most importantly imparting the safe behaviours to others who might not be safety conscious.
However, scientific studies reveal that the efficient utilization of resources actually increases profitability in addition to legal compliance. A sustainable business is one that balances out profitability, environment, and society. In other words a ‘good corporate citizen’ whose activities should not:
- harm the environment and
- be wasteful of natural resources-(water, energy etc)
To that effect, First–In-Safety (FIS) endeavours to partner with businesses in the campaign for sustainable business practices, in the process creating inter-generational equity for generations to come.
