AC was founded in 1962 as a one-man business. Today the company occupies 3500m² of factory space and employs 100 people but is still very much a family business.

 

Apart from general joinery, the company manufactures timber doors and windows, out of the most suitable hardwoods.

 

All products are manufactured using the latest joinery techniques, a dowel system for doors and mortice and tennon joint for windows and all other casements. This adds strength and rigidity to enable our products to withstand the rigour of the harsh South African climate.

 

AC Doors purchases nearly all its timber from strictly controlled timber merchants both locally and internationally, who subscribe to government quotas and best practice logging methodologies.
