Talbott Associates is a forensic engineering firm with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, (and now Metallurgical) Engineers. The same level of service previously provided by Dr. Reitz will continue and will be enhanced by the existing engineering staff at Talbott Associates.
I will continue to accept new projects, but my equipment will not be available for use between now and 9/15/11.

Reitz Consulting, Ltd. solves problems using metallurgical and mechanical engineering. Dr. Reitz worked as a Principal Engineer for 17 years in industry and continues to teach metallurgy / engineering courses at North Dakota State University.
The owner / principal is seasoned with experience from a varied background. The pertinent industrial experience included solving manufacturing and performance problems, performing failure analysis, participating on design teams and responsibility for material performance, examining microstructure and determining resulting affects on corrosion performance, and performing experiments characterizing materials at various process steps. A large portion of those years was interfacing with materials vendors, which developed communication skills. Teaching at the university and conducting short courses has brought the ability to relate difficult and complicated topics to the lay person in such a way that they can readily comprehend the subject.
