Lubrication Technology, Inc.
Semiconductor Lubricants
Lubrication Technology, Inc (LTI) offers a wide selection of Perfluoropolyether and Fluorinated polysiloxanes lubricants which are compatible with conditions found in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing. Whether there are extremes of friction, vacuum, temperature or need resistance to harsh chemicals and/or gases; there is no other lubricant as well suited as CHRISTO-LUBE.
Perfluoropolyether Lubricants for the Semiconductor Industry
Perfluoropolyether (PFPE) greases have established themselves as the lubricant of choice for use under severe conditions. When thickened with PTFE, these greases maybe described as fully fluorinated and since base oil and thickener share the very strong carbon-fluorine bond, these greases are among the safest and best for Semiconductor applications. CHRISTO-LUBE PFPE greases are commonly used in lubricating ball, plain spherical, roller, and needle bearings of large and small diameter. They are also appropriate for use in electrical contacts, gears, splines, valves, screw actuators and systems employing elastomeric and plastic seals, gaskets and o-rings.
Characteristics of CHRISTO-LUBE perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricants useful in semiconductor manufacturing include:
- Low vapor pressure; low out gassing for use in extreme vacuum
- Wide operating temperature range
- Clean room compatible
- Chemically inert; non-reactive with semiconductor manufacturing materials
- Low evaporation rate
Fluorinated Polysiloxane Lubricants for the Semiconductor Industry
CHRISTO-LUBE Fluorinated polysiloxane (fluorosilicone) greases are clean-room compatible and are particularly useful in applications involving lead screw actuators and linear bearings in wafer handling systems. Other uses include; electrical contacts and connectors with high engagement forces. CHRISTO-LUBE Fluorosilicone greases are only to be used in non-vacuum applications.
