The Institute of Spring Technology is the unique centre of excellence dedicated to problem solving for the spring supply chain. Undertaking an on-going and a wide ranging programme of co-operative research in UKAS approved laboratories and in addition IST have available, on demand, sub-contract research and testing services covering all technical subjects from spring design consultancy to machinery building.
TEST MACHINES
IST has the knowledge and ability to design and build Test Machines that can carry out tests on any size, shape and style of spring. IST manufacturers both standard machines (Load Testers and Torque Testers) and speciality machines (Fatigue Testers, Prestressing and the award winning FRACMAT). With our knowledge we are able to independently discuss testing problems and provide such information as a prioritised list of features to be considered by prospective machine purchasers. .
