Specialising in design, uprating and refurbishment of gearboxes, transmission equipment and associated mechanical assemblies, mainly for the metals industries. Since that time we have completed prestigious contracts for blue-chip companies Corus, Alcoa, Avesta and Caparo and have developed valuable working relationships with mill engineers and our core suppliers.
We offer a total project service from the concept of a design through to manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance, to overcome problems associated with ageing transmission equipment and to improve the performance and efficiency of existing plant.
UED are members of the British Gear Association (BGA). We specialise in designing out operational problems related to mechanical equipment, thereby achieving improved productivity and reliability.
