E J Bowman have been making heat exchangers since 1919 for a wide variety of applications. Initially they were mostly for the automotive industry although now heat exchangers are manufactured for many different applications.
During recent years the world-wide demand for heat exchangers has risen considerably, and at Bowman’s we have grown as well, to meet this demand.
The company is assessed to the Internationally recognised BS EN ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System, thus ensuring our commitment to Quality. Our policy of continuous development and expansion means that we can meet the large volume needs of international organisations, but at the same time we maintain our links with those customers whose requirements are more modest.
The applications are almost endless, from marine heat exchangers on fishing junks in the Far East to oil coolers on some of the worlds most advanced hydraulic presses and plastics machinery. Experience gained in the arduous marine environment has enabled us to build exceptionally reliable heat exchangers for land based duties including oil hydraulic systems, waste heat recovery applications, oil coolers for mining equipment and other areas where reliability is important.

 | Three methods are employed for water-cooled marine petrol and diesel engines: direct, heat exchanger and keel cooling. |

 | Bowman Aftercoolers will reduce the temperature of air from a compressor down to within 8 Deg.C of the cooling water temperature. |
 | These oil coolers are equally suitable for cooling torque converter, automatic transmission and engine oils. |
 | Our Hydraulic Oil Coolers are suitable for heat transfer fluids, lubricating, transformer & quenching oils. |
 | Our DC Oil Coolers are designed for use on small marine transmissions. Bowman DC oil coolers have the same cupro-nickel tubes as our larger EC to PK range of oil coolers and therefore have the same long life expectancy. |
